A serene and beautifully modeled pair of Chinese glazed biscuit porcelain figures, dating to the Kangxi Period (1662–1722).

Each figure depicts Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion and Mercy, seated in a meditative pose atop a high lotus plinth. The figures are decorated in typical "sancai" (three-color) enamels applied directly to the biscuit body, featuring flowing robes in varying shades of emerald green, amber, and aubergine.

The deity is portrayed with a calm, benevolent expression, wearing a high cowl or headdress. They rest upon stylized white lotus petals, which rise from a hexagonal pedestal base splashed with green and yellow glazes.

The use of "biscuit" porcelain—where enamels are fired onto the unglazed body—allows for sharper modeling and deeper, more resonant colors compared to standard overglaze enamels.
