A striking mid-century studio pottery vase featuring deeply carved vertical striations and woven band detailing, finished in layered turquoise and earthy ochre glaze. The surface is richly textured, with incised linear patterns wrapping the cylindrical form and recessed oval impressions glazed in a contrasting deep blue.
The glaze treatment pools organically in the carved recesses, highlighting the dimensional surface and revealing warm clay tones along the raised ridges. The upper rim softens into a subtle celadon-toned interior, creating a beautiful transition from exterior texture to smooth interior glaze.
Signed on the underside indicating studio production. The piece reflects strong mid-century modern and Brutalist influences, with its architectural surface treatment and earthy palette.
