Made in Murano, Italy, the vase has a tall tubular glass vessel squeezed vertically at the center. The glass is held within a metal mount with metal prongs to hold the glass in place.

Born into a family of glassmakers, Nason became an apprentice glassblower at the age of 17 for A.Ve.M (Arte Vetraria Muranese), the glass company his father Emilio Nason helped establish. Aldo Nason went on to become a partner at A.Ve.M in 1959 and in 1968, he established his own glass studio. His collaborations with A.V. Mazzega, as well as other glass workshops, began during this time. See less
