This antique wood box is finished in a timeworn red lacquer tone with hand-applied gilt detailing throughout. The front shows two upper drawers with ornate scroll motifs, a pierced apron with swirling cut-work, and two lower compartments with decorative panels and metal pulls. The surface shows layered patina with scattered rub-through along edges and corners, revealing age and character while the carved and painted accents remain clearly defined.
