The bell's utilitarian yoke is a rotatable, heavy iron swing with a ball finial and has a side pin, which was part of the original mounting bracket system and was typical of farm, plantation, factory, school yard or fire alarm bells from this era (circa 1880-1920). There is no manufacturer's mark or clapper present on the interior of the bell, which makes this piece a great decorative and collectible Americana object for use inside the home or outside on a porch or in a garden!
