This desk lamp seamlessly blends the organic geometry of late Jugendstil with the burgeoning Industrial Art Deco aesthetic.
The lamp features a stunningly arched brass arm adorned with openwork geometric motifs. The base showcases a distinctive "hammered" texture, a hallmark of hand-finished metalwork from the 1910s-1920s. It stands on a tiered, dark-stained solid wood plinth, providing both stability and a warm contrast to the patinated brass.
The lamp retains its original character, including the vintage rotary switch and a decorative shade holder with ornate drop-fittings. While it currently displays a beautiful aged patina, it is a perfect candidate for a statement Edison-style bulb or a custom glass shade.
Condition:
Good vintage condition consistent with age. The brass shows a rich, authentic patina. There is a visible small chip on the front edge of the wooden base (see detail photos). Original wiring is present; however, professional rewiring is recommended for modern safety standards.
