The serpentine shaped ormolu hinged lid is decorated with a hand-painted panel of a courting couple, a gentleman serenading a lady surrounded by her maidens, in a richly gilded ground. The lid opens to reveal a beautifully painted bouquet of flowers on a white porcelain ground. The underneath bearing the interlaced L's mark, for Sevres porcelain. A truly superb high quality large decorative casket!! Condition: In excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or signs of repair, please see photos for confirmation.
