Offered is a studio pottery artisan-signed glazed stoneware decorative plate. The signature on the bottom reads: "PELE POTS - HI OOO."
It resembles the work of Claude Horan (b. 1917 - d. 2014), an American ceramist and glass-blower who collaborated with his wife, Suzi Pleyte Horan, and started the ceramics program at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Horan's students include Toshiko Takaezu, Isami Enomoto, Henry Takemoto, Chiu Huan-tang and Harue Oyama McVay.
The plate measures 9.75" in diameter, 0.75" tall.
