Found in France, this Early 20th Century Writing Desk was crafted from walnut by French artisans in the early 1900's in the grand Louis XVI style. The piece features a tooled green leather top and two leather pull out extensions located on each side of the top for extra surface space. Each extension is adorned with brass ring pulls for ease of use. The leather does show light surface wear from years of use and only adds to its charm. Resting below the top are four drawers, two smaller on the left, one center and one double on the right and each drawer operates with its own individual key. The double drawer exhibits a unique inner locking compartment although no key is available. The piece rest on four tapered legs adorned with brass sabots. This Early 20th French Louis XVI Style Walnut Leather Top Writing Desk with its warm patina, aged leather and brass details will add a touch of French charm to all interiors.
