Found in the Burgundy Region of France, this 19th Century French Directoire Style Walnut Leather Top Desk dates back to the late 1800's. The piece features a dark green leather top writing surface resting above two pull out extensions, in leather, followed by four hand-dovetailed drawers. Each of the drawers retain their original brass pulls and keyhole escutcheon plates with one key available. The back and sides are crafted with panels which allows the desk to be easily floated within a room. Resting on four legs, each leg bottom is fitted with brass sabots. The top of the desk exhibits a small imperfection in the walnut veneer and does not detract from the overall beauty of the piece. This 19th Century French Directoire Walnut Leather Top Desk with its warm aged patina will add exceptional style and beauty to all interiors.
