A pair of Federal-style convex mirrors crowned with carved eagles, their wings outstretched above a laurel motif—an enduring symbol drawn from early American design.
The circular frames are punctuated by 13 evenly spaced spheres, a classic “bullseye” detail referencing the original colonies and adding rhythm to the form. The convex glass subtly distorts and reflects the surrounding space, creating movement and light rather than a direct reflection. The gilt finish has softened over time, developing a patina that gives the frames depth and warmth without feeling overly polished.
Well suited for an entry, above a chest or fireplace mantel, or layered into a traditional gallery wall, they bring a sense of structure and historical reference while remaining highly decorative.
