Heavy double sided ink stone from the 'Duan' region of China. Sourced from a collector in Florida. Depicts two dragons on upper side, with a turtle in relief on underside, mythical 'horses' on the sides. These stones are used from grinding up ink sticks that are used in paintings and calligraphy.
