American - Circa Late 19th Century. This is 1 of 2 Side Panels that would have been Part of Child's Seated Rocking Horse Toy. The Child would sit on a Bench - Seat that would have been Mounted - Suspended by these 2 side panels. The Horse is made out of Beech Wood and It still Retains its Wonderful Original Hand Painted Features. The Arched Rocker base is Made out of Oak. It Could Easy Mount Just as it is on a Wall with Just a Couple of Nails ( No Added Hanger Needed ). The Original Hand Painted Features are in Very Nice Condition with Nice Colors - Patina. Displays Beautifully. I purchased this piece on one of my recent Picking Adventures in the Down East Coastal Maine Region.
