Having spent centuries at the bottom of the sea these dishes are brought to the surface with the effects of such a long period showing in the soft satin sheen on the glaze. The bottoms have fused elements of sand and coral-encrusted to the bases. Found in mass as ship cargo headed to trading ports they are a variety of shapes and sizes. The size here is 8.5" in diameter and 2" deep. See less
