Located in Kameoka, Kyoto the artist Nishijima Hideki is known for his innovative glazes and forms. He is one of the most famous contemporary artists in Kyoto where pottery is an ancient local art.
This beautiful vase was bought in the artist studio and is made of Japanese porcelain and glazed with the artist’s signature luster glaze that flares to a rainbow-colored luminescence. The artist's chop mark is on the bottom.
