Excellent Pre-Owned Condition.
Vibrant, fun to look at set of porcelain lotus bowls made in Japan and all the rage from the late 1950s to early 1970s. My mom gave me my first set many years ago and I’ve kept adding over the years. Have used them as prep bowls to hold chopped spices, veggies, etc. while cooking but they’d make fabulous succulent planters or sauce/dipping bowls. In fabulous condition, the bowls feature a faint ribbed lotus leaf motif on the exterior and smooth bright white interior; faint wear on the bottom rims. This set consists of five bowls, three in a fabulous sea blue hue and two in crisp white; all interiors are crisp white. Each measures 4½” x 2½” D/H; capacity per bowl 6 oz.; together they weigh 1 lb. 8 oz.; blue bowls are marked Japan, the white ones are not.
