A design classic: the Wassily Chair by the Hungarian-American architect and designer Marcel Breuer (May 1902–July 1981), designed around 1925 and now a design icon. The armchair offered here (set of 2) is an early Gavina version.
Gavina's models, like the early Knoll International versions, were identified only by a sticker. Modern models have the manufacturer's name incorporated into the frame. Gavina also sometimes used the signature in the leather. This model bears the signature in the leather and has the original Gavina sticker.
Manufactured by Thonet in 1925, reintroduced by Gavina in 1964, and produced by Knoll International (to this day) after the company's acquisition by Knoll International.
