Original first edition octavo lithograph from John James Audubon's Quadrupeds of North America, published in 1842, New York. Beautiful Mountain Cottontail Hare in a naturalistic landscape setting with mountains in the background. Quadrupeds was Audubon's final great natural history work. His animal drawings are still considered some of the finest prints published in America.
In excellent condition. Matted. Dimensions: 10 1/2" x 6 3/4”
