This is an antique (est. late 19th-early 20th century) mahogany chair with a lovely spindle back and hand woven cane seat. Gorgeous original reddish-brown finish and unique tightly woven, pristine cane seat. This artfully crafted chair is stunning, and would be ideal as a accent/side chair or as part of a cozy vignette with a lovely vintage needlework pillow!

- This chair's finish, cane seat and wood is in excellent condition with very few dings, scratches or scuffs. There is … moreThis chair's finish, cane seat and wood is in excellent condition with very few dings, scratches or scuffs. There is a minor split in one leg of the chair (front right, if facing chair). There is a split on the interior, and a minor crack on the corresponding exterior side (see photos). Upon close inspection, it appears that the split may have occurred during construction or shortly thereafter. The split on the interior has been filled and the finish covers the split. There is no fresh wood showing, and it appears that it has been there for some time. The crack on the other side is minor and has no gap. When seated in the chair, its construction is solid and not compromised (no wobbling), and we believe it would stand up admirably with occasional use. In the last photo, there appears to be a prior water stain? on the back side of the top. This chair was too pretty to pass up and we believe it has generations of use left! less
