A complete set is rarely found.

These pieces illustrate with great formal purity the absolute mastery of steam-bending beechwood, a revolutionary process that brought Thonet international renown at the end of the 19th century.

The lines, rigorously elegant, are distinguished by the precision of their proportions and the fluidity of their curves. Devoid of any decorative artifice, they embody an avant-garde functional aesthetic, foreshadowing the foundations of modern design. The structure, both light and perfectly stable, testifies to a design conceived for both use and longevity. And this nesting system is so ingenious\.

The quality of execution is exceptional: the wood displays a deep patina. The precision of the bending and the finesse of the joinery are remarkable.

This model, number 10, was designed for refined interiors as well as elegant establishments of the Belle Époque. One can imagine so many possibilities\.

The tables are in good condition for their age of 125 years. The wood of the tabletops (which have undoubtedly been refinished) shows signs of age. Table 3, in particular, has a black mark, but this can be concealed with an object (see photos). The edges of the tabletops show some wear to the varnish. But none of these perfectly legitimate flaws detract from their undeniable charm.
