A masterful example of Venetian glass art from the period, characterized by powerful, sculptural workmanship.

Subject and Style: The set, composed of three pieces (a perfume bottle with spray, a jar/bottle without a cap, and a bowl), is distinguished by the use of solid, heavy crystal, worked thickly with an enveloping relief pattern (similar to a torchon or large, irregular "bubbles"). Its most prized feature is the iridescent (or lustre) finish: the glass surface captures the light, breaking it into delicate mother-of-pearl, pink, and blue reflections that contrast with the transparency of the crystal. The perfume bottle still retains its original chrome-plated metal frame with a pump and gold-tone fabric tassel, a detail that enhances its vintage charm.
