In a Scandinavian style, this organically shaped ceramic was designed by Erik Rahr and produced in Saxbo, Denmark. Commissioned by the Larsen company in Copenhagen, this stoneware snuffbox is a highly elegant and functional piece. Its glaze boasts surprising nuances, and its velvety texture never ceases to amaze. Its uses are numerous. This Danish ceramic emanates a strong, even hypnotic, decorative power!

The ceramic can be used as a trinket dish, candy or jewelry box, tobacco jar… It was made in Saxbo for WØ, Larsen's tobacco company in Copenhagen. It is elegantly signed ER on the bottom, and also bears the Larsen company logo and the Saxbo monogram, allowing us to date the jar (1930-40). It is made of glazed stoneware; its distinctive green glaze is soft, nuanced, and striking. Minor chips are visible in the photos on the inside of the pot. The elastic band on the lid is missing. Overall, it is in superb condition.
