Tuscan Chestnut finished pieces are built from solid pine and pine veneer; hardware has an antique brass finish. The use of veneers results in high-quality furniture with flawless surfaces and consistent color tones. Kiln-dried wood helps prevent warping, splitting, cracking and developing mildew. Finish is hand applied in layers, with distressing and burnished edges that give the collection the look of a well-loved antique. The writing desk has 1 single drawer with a drop-down front. Cutouts in the drawer keep cords organized and easily accessible. Drawers open smoothly on metal glides. Back of desk is finished and able to float within the room.
