An Andy Warhol iconic lithograph on board, mounted to new linen and set into a custom oiled wood frame, under glass.
Mr. Warhol’s Campbell’s soup can series was first exhibited in July 1962 at the Ferus Gallery in Los Angeles. The works marked a breakthrough for Pop Art and challenged traditional distinctions between fine art and commercial imagery.
Warhol's association with the subject led to his name becoming synonymous with the Campbell's soup cans. The series catapulted him to fame and reshaped debates about originality, reproduction, and the meaning of art in a consumer society.
This particular piece was printed on shaped board, circa late 1970s and was re-freshed with custom matting into a special round frame.
