The seat was formed from a log sliced down the middle, with the flat upper surface created from the cut and the natural curve remaining visible underneath.
The top reveals old knots and surface cracks typical of aged pine, while the uneven edges follow the organic flow of the original wood. The overall appearance is rustic and natural. While the seat averages approximately 9 inches deep, the splayed display legs extend the overall depth to approximately 18 1/2 inches. The bench has been restored, is strong and stable, and suitable for seating or display.
