The artworks of Lichtenstein are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
Ileana Sonnabend ( 1914 - 2007 ) was an early champion of American Pop Art and a pivotal figure in introducing the artworks to the European market. Her sense of daring earned the Sonnabends a reputation for consistently showing works other dealers might dismiss as difficult or impossible to sell. They were also famous for amassing an enormous art collection that remained mostly in storage. The Sonnabend Collection is about change, redefinition, experimentation and ever-expanding notion of what constitutes Avant-Garde.
