A Chinese famille rose porcelain jar featuring traditional phoenix and peony decoration with calligraphic script to the reverse. The palette reflects classic Qing dynasty motifs, executed in overglaze enamels of rose, celadon green, and iron red.
The jar is fitted with a carved wooden lid. The form and decoration reference late Qing dynasty aesthetics.
Glazed interior with unglazed foot rim. Minor wear commensurate with age.
