​Own a mesmerizing piece of California studio glass history. This stunning hand-blown bowl, crafted at the renowned Black Sheep Studio in Escondido, CA, is a masterclass in fluid color and mid-century modern aesthetic.

​Artistry in Motion
​Part of the sought-after "Waves" series, this piece was created by studio founder and lead artist Leslie Wilton. Wilton - who with her husband owned Blacksheep Glass in San Diego - was one of very few women glass blowers of this time, and was only productive for a short time. She created many lovely glass items and is collected widely. This bowl features a sophisticated palette of swirling plum, ethereal violet, and deep blue bands that mimic the rhythmic motion of the Pacific. The composition is elegantly framed by a crisp, clear glass rim, allowing the interior colors to truly pop. Leslie was kind enough to identify this as one of her personal creations, from her late Blue Period.
