This exceptional antique Japanese uchikake kimono dates to the late Meiji to Taishō period (circa 1900–1930) and features rich embroidery in silk with gold and silver metallic threads. The design depicts a crane in flight amid pine trees, powerful traditional motifs symbolizing longevity, fidelity, and prosperity.

The kimono is constructed in traditional T-form with a heavily padded hem, characteristic of uchikake robes worn ceremonially and allowed to trail elegantly along the floor. The ivory silk ground is subtly patterned, and the robe retains its original red silk lining, adding warmth and visual contrast.
