The coveted Orkney chair! Named after the Orkney Islands or The Orkneys, an archipelago located in the Northern Isles of Scotland...the chairs' history dates back hundreds of years. Beautifully hand woven natural straw backs with rush seats. Each used for their distinct properties: straw being more flexible, to allow the seat back to have some give. Hardwood frames are an antique white. In excellent condition. ANY "IMPERFECTIONS" IN THE NATURAL WOVEN MATERIALS ARE CHARACTERISTIC OF THE MATERIAL and NOT imperfections.
Would be a statement look for MANY styles: juxtaposed in a modern room, French Cottage, Coastal and Beach Chic, Shabby, on and on.
