A Very Nice Antique Mahogany Sheraton Tall Chest, Pennsylvania, Circa 1820's
Made in Eastern Pennsylvania, circa 1810-1825
Found in Bucks County, PA
Cherry case, Mahogany veneered drawer fronts with pine and tulip poplar secondary woods.
Nicely cove moulded cornice moulding, 3 cockbeaded flame grain mahogany drawers over 5 full width drawers. Reeded stiles, and turned legs. Old historic surface, possibly the original finish.
Size: 46 1/2" wide, 23" deep, and 69" tall.
Condition: old historic surface, possibly the original finish. Replaced brasses, should have had single knobs. Some spots of cock beading loss on the drawers. Wear on finish loss on the legs, typical of age and use. Typical use and wear marks/scuffs/ding from age and use.
