This elegant piece is a French Louis XV style bureau plat, or writing desk, which typically dates from the late 19th to early 20th century. These desks are characterized by their "rococo" elements, including curved cabriole legs and ornate gilt-bronze mounts.
A shaped rectangular top featuring an inset leather writing surface, with decorative gilt tooling around the edges. Crafted from fine woods, the table includes three drawers in the front frieze with highly decorative bronze-mounted corners and drawer handles.
Condition: May show minor signs of wear like scuffs and small chips at the bottom edge of the table.
