Fuchs was a principal founder of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism and one of Austria's most celebrated 20th century artists. His work combined meticulous Renaissance-inspired technique with surrealist and mystical themes. He studied under Albert Paris von Gütersloh and maintained friendships with Salvador Dali, Jean Cocteau, and other major figures of the European art world. This etching demonstrates his mastery of classical figurative drawing and subtle tonal work. Pencil signed by the artist. Presented in gold gilt frame. See less
