Spectacularly rare engraving and etching from 1608. This piece came from a series of hunting scenes and it was a frontispiece or title page. It was done by Antonio Tempesta in 1608. He was a famous painter and engraver. This piece was produced using etching and engraving technique on paper. It is dedicated to Charles of Valois who was the Duke of Angouleme. The print is in remarkable condition for being 428 years old. It measures 11 1/2 inches wide by 8 1/4 inches high. The frame measures 19 and three-quarter inches by 16 1/2 inches. He has had auction results over $3000 for a single print, but I cannot find another example of this one except in the British museum. See less
