This fabulous … Read more A Spanish coffee table with a 17th century hand-tooled and painted leather top on 18th century wooden base. This fabulous little antique coffee table from Spain features a beautifully crafted, hand-tooled and painted, rectangular-shaped leather top in a motif of scrolling and vining foliage. The top is raised on a pair of thickly turned, outwardly canting legs, with a turned H-style stretcher bar supporting them at their ankles and along the underside of the table. There are two rows of nail head trim outlining the edges of the top. Note that there are visible signs of age and patina with losses and tearing to the leather; though we feel this just adds such character and interest to the piece! This 17th/18th century Spanish trestle-leg coffee table, with tooled leather top, just shy of 3.5 feet in width, will make a wonderful addition to a more intimate seating arrangement. See less
