This antique architectural fragment from America, likely from a building, has been hard-fired of terracotta and features an upturned tail of a griffin, along with a section of its lower torso and hind leg and clawed foot. The piece has been nicely presented upon on a custom iron base. The fragment has a lighter finish on its front side with a fabulous patina with weathering, and some areas of wear and slight losses, showing its rich history and prior use. This late 19th century hard-fired terracotta fragment on stand is the perfect piece to decorate your home or office while adding a nice bit of texture and architectural interest. See less
