Beautiful signed art glass vase by French studio glass artist Isabelle Monod (b. Geneva, 1945). Monod, along with her husband Claude Monod (1944–1990), was a pioneering figure in France's independent studio glass movement. Together they founded the acclaimed Atelier du Touron near Biot in 1976, creating internationally recognized works.
This small ovoid vase features Monod's signature technique of powder fusions — thick-walled clear glass embedded with brown and gray mineral-like inclusions that give the surface a richly textured, almost geological appearance. The dark rim provides elegant contrast. Signed "Isabelle" on the base.
