I recently Purchased this Piece in Cape Cod - New Bedford Massachusetts Area so there is a Very Good Chance that it Could Have Been Made for Shipboard or Other Nautical Use. It is Completely and Substantially Hand Made - Bench Made out of Solid Pine Wood. It Still Retains its Outstanding All Original Painted Features that have Developed that Lifetime of Use, Aged & Weathered Appearance and Patina the Cannot be Duplicated. Truly Unique. It Still Retains its Original Hand Made - Wrought Steel Locking Mechanism but it Comes With No Key. It Also Has an Assortment of Hand Made - Hand Wrought - Forged Square Nails Included in the Construction. A Wonderful Example of Authentic New England Americana.
