Add a touch of industrial Americana to your office or lounge with this authentic vintage Mack Truck Bulldog cigar ashtray. A true collector’s piece, this item features the legendary bulldog mascot—originally designed by Mack engineer Alfred Fellows Masury in 1932—rendered in brilliant high-shine chrome.
The bulldog is mounted at the center of a substantial weighted base, flanked by two dedicated cigar rests. The underside is proudly embossed with the "Central Die Casting & Mfg. Co. Chicago" maker's mark, dating this piece to the mid-20th century. Whether used as a functional ashtray or a masculine valet dish for keys and coins, it stands as a rugged symbol of "Mack tough" durability.
It is in excellent vintage condition. The chrome retains a high luster with minor surface scratches and light pitting commensurate with age and use. The unglazed portions of the underside show expected shelf wear. No structural damage or repairs.
The Bulldog is 5" tall and is wearing a collar with "MACK" on it. On his chest, it reads: "Design Patent 87931".
The ashtray is 7 1/4" in diameter.
