A refined set of six matching bentwood armchairs designed by Josef Hoffman for Thonet, known as the Model '811' Prague Chair. The chairs are constructed in bentwood appearing to be oak and feature woven cane seats and backs, finished in a rich walnut-brown tone. The distinctive woodgrain patterns are showcased on the frames. Each chair is hand-crafted in steam-bentwood with curved back supports and circular under-frame stretchers reinforcing the legs. The caned backs and seats offer an airy and light minimalist profile while retaining support and comfort. The chairs cleanly blend Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Bauhaus, Art Nouveau styles with Vienna Secession influence. The chairs are stamped made in Yugoslavia under the seat.
