The company was founded in 1934 by the Willett brothers and became well known for their traditional solid cherry and maple furniture. In the 50’s they introduce the “Transitional” line that took on a modern danish inspired design of the era. We found this end table on an estate sale binge last month. One trademark of Willett furniture is the exposed dovetails and joints. They show the beauty of the quality construction. The top of this table showcases the dowel joints supporting the upper tier. Overall measurements are 20 inches wide by 28 inches deep by 24 inches high. The lower tier is 15 inches high with a single drawer. The original finish is in great shape, there are a few normal wear and tear scratches and dings, but overall the table is in wonderful condition. If you are a collector of Willett furniture or just a fan of mid century design, this end table is a must have.
