This Really is a Great Looking and Very Fine Quality Antique Nautical Brass Ships Combination Barometer and Thermometer. Circa Late 19th Century. The Dial Reads HOLOSTERIC BAROMETER and FAHRENHEIT THERMOMETER. It is Signed By the Well Documented Paris France Maker P.H.B.N. - PERTUIS,HULOT,BOURGEOIS & NAUDET. There is Other Information and History About This Company Available on the Internet. It has a Beautiful Silvered Dial that Has Developed Some Light Shading Over the Years Giving is a Wonderful Authentic Old Look. The Case is Made Out of Spun Brass and the Front Bezel is Set with Beveled Glass. It is in Very Good Overall Original Cosmetic and Functional Condition. Displays Well. The Brass is Tarnished and it has a Very Minor Indentation on the Lower Bottom Area Bezel Perimeter ( See Last - 18th Photograph).

6 inches Tall Including the Top Hanger Hoop.
Case is 5 1/4 inches x 5 1/4 inches x 2 1/8 inches.
HOW TO SET - CALIBRATE THE BAROMETER WHEN IT ARRIVES.
The Back of the Case has a Hole that Gives access to a Small Screw that can Be accessed with a Small Screwdriver This Being Used to Accurately Set - Calibrate The Barometric Pressure at your Specific Location ( Screwdriver Pictured is Used to illustrate and Not Included With This Sale ). To Set the Barometer to Your Location First Determine the True Barometric Pressure at that Moment and Then Insert a Small Screwdriver. By Turning the Screw while Looking at the Dial you can Move the Hand to the Proper Barometric Pressure and then the Barometer Set. Next Step - The Beveled Glass Front has Another Pointer ( Gold Color ) That Can be Turned - Adjusted With the Small Brass Knob so then Rotate the Pointer So That it Covers - Is Directly Over the Barometers Hand. After That You Will be Able to Use it as a Reference Point as the Barometer Hand Moves - Changes.
