Each white … Read more A diminutive silver overlay porcelain vase pair from Manfred Veyhl of Germany, dating circa late-1940s to the early-1950s. Each white porcelain body has a glossy outer glaze of apple green; the elegant silver overlay work consists of Art Deco stems and abstracted leaves connecting silver bands at each foot, waist, and mouth. These small posy or cabinet vases would make a lovely accent for a windowsill, vanity, bookshelf, or breakfast tray.

Silversmith Manfred Veyhl specialized in hand-crafted silver overlay decoration from 1930 through the 1950s at his studio, Silberporzellanmanufaktur Plüderhausen, in Baden Württemberg, Germany. Vehyl redecorated colorful porcelain blanks with delicate silver overlays crafted from the highest quality silver.

The vases are in very good condition, measuring 3 in. height. Both bases bear Veyhl's red Silverporzellan anniversary mark over a hand-painted number 32. The porcelain vases were likely produced by the Rosenthal Selb factory in Germany. See less
