Designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller, this Eames Desk Unit (EDU) is an iconic example of American Mid-Century Modern design. Introduced in 1952, the EDU reflects the Eames’ innovative approach to modular, functional office furniture.
The desk features a black painted metal frame with signature cross-bracing, a plywood work surface, and an integrated right-side file drawer. This example presents the classic multicolor configuration, with birch drawer fronts and contrasting colored panels that create a bold yet balanced visual presence.
Both sculptural and practical, the EDU remains a timeless Herman Miller design, ideal for a home office, studio, or design-focused interior.
