This exquisite large-format original vintage poster was produced on the occasion of a special exhibition, David Hockney Prints from Tyler Graphics 1984-1986, held at the Thorden Wetterling Galleries in Gothenburg, Sweden in the spring of 1986. The exhibition featured an extensive selection of David Hockney’s Moving Focus prints, a collection of pioneering color lithographs produced in collaboration with master printer Kenneth Tyler between 1984 and 1986. In this series, Hockney explores the construction of images and the various ways of "seeing," examining the relationship between reality and its artistic transformation. This body of work remains a significant and innovative part of his artistic oeuvre. The luscious, jewel-toned bouquet –Amaryllis in Vase– is a celebrated lithograph from this important series.
