This was slated for restoration … Read more This Ralph Lauren by Henredon sofa is offered at significant discount as a restoration opportunity. This was slated for restoration by our team, but business priorities have shifted. The frame and structure of this sofa are strong with no creaking or breaks. The springs are supportive and the sofa remains very comfortable. The seam has come undone on one cushion (see pictures). The same cushion also has a small rip elsewhere (see pictures). Additionally, the arms show cracks and have stains (see pictures). The down cushion inserts remain in good condition.

The leather displays incredibly authentic patina. A skilled leatherworker could potentially mend the seam and rip and then condition the leather. This sofa could then conceivably continue to be used with no further restoration as a lived in, rustic sofa.

Note that the Ralph Lauren tag is no longer present, though the outline of where the tag was remains. We acquired it from an estate that bought it new which provided oral provenance. It also matches known styling and has the evidence of quality which Ralph Lauren by Henredon sofas are known for. Henredon branding is still evident on cushion inserts, though faded.
