An antique mixed metal champagne chiller or wine cooler from the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period in the style of Carl Deffner and WMF of Germany. The tapering copper body is decorated on front and back with an embossed geometric pattern topped by stems of flowers. Golden brass accents include distinctive double handles swooping up the sides and four decorative feet. is unmarked but was likely created in continental Europe around the turn of the 20th century. The antique vessel could also be used for potted plants, as a cachepot.
Good condition overall with darkened patina, spots/patches of verdigris and areas of corrosion, particularly on and inside the base where the metal was likely exposed to water. There are several small and shallow dings and dents around the body.
