Pair of Cambodian Khmer stoneware lime pots. Historically, these ceramic vessels were used to store lime, which is an ingredient used in the preparation of betel nut for chewing. Each in the form of an elephant. One pot is footed with trunk downward, the other sits flat and has trunk upward. Each has a small opening at top.
Footed pot measures 4 3/4" tall x 4 1/2" x 4"
Flat measures 5" tall x 4 1/2" x 4"
Excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or repairs.
