Design Plus Gallery presents a Signed Lithograph of Turning Robe by Harley Brown. Sitting Eagle (1874–1970) was a symbol of the Calgary Stampede; a famous 11-foot statue of him stands in downtown Calgary, unveiled in 1988. Brown's portraits often depict the Chief looking directly at the viewer or towards the mountains, wearing traditional eagle feather headdresses and intricate beadwork. This lithograph is encased in a golden frame with tan matte and inner gold border that really show off the realistic with loose, lively brushwork and his colorful palette. It is signed with limited number 216 of 250 and is in good condition for its usage.
