A quietly striking piece of handmade studio pottery finished in layered midnight and sea-glass blues with a frothy wave-like band wrapping organically around the form. The glaze work feels almost aerial — reminiscent of surf breaking against dark shoreline rock — giving the piece a distinctly coastal modern sensibility without becoming overtly nautical.
The silhouette is intentionally restrained: a clean cylindrical vessel with subtle wheel-thrown texture visible beneath the glaze. It works beautifully styled on open shelving, holding kitchen tools in a collected kitchen, or paired with dried branches and natural woods in a more minimal interior.
Signed by the artist on the underside.
Likely late 20th century.
